Kitchen {Not So} Basics

March 2, 2016

As of late I haven’t been cooking much, but that isn’t usually the case. I love cooking and finding new recipes. If you don’t cook much now maybe these items will inspire you. When ever we move out on our own or finally leave roommates behind there are those purchases we all have to make. Who says function and beauty can’t work together? Honestly for your straight forward “glass” items like bakeware and liquid measuring I always go with Pyrex. Sure there are prettier items out there, but they’re simple and are well thought out with storage options.

I may own one… two… maybe three of the items below. Some items are investment pieces like knives. Shun’s are amazing and I highly recommend them. Hedley & Bennett makes quality new school aprons. If you’re into cooking shows Tiffani Thiessen originally from Saved by the Bell now has her own show Dinner At Tiffani’s on the Cooking Channel and she has several of these aprons. Oh and you should watch it she has some good stuff! I also own almost the entire marble French collection from Crate and Barrel including the paper towel holder and rolling pin. If you’ve recently started baking you’ll quickly learn the importance of keeping doughs cool and the marble adds a little extra help. The Kinfolk Table seriously just buy it. Links below the collage.
